With music and composition training from Brigham Young University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Dr. David Sargent’s music career took him from the Eastman School of Music to Ohio University to a long residency at BYU where he held the Harold R. Laycock University Professorship for Music Composition for 10 years before retiring in 2008. Sargent’s music has been performed worldwide and a small collection of his works is featured on this two-volume album.
